  Rated 4 out of 5 by holcee1 from Not just for babies! I have owned this product for over 3 months after using the Baby lotion.. Love all the Aveeno range, and this one hasn't disappointed! I'm currently going through Topical Steroid Withdrawal from suffering with eczema so I have to be super careful of the products I treat for my skin, especially when it's red, and recently I've had a flare on my arms and legs. Used a thin layer of the cream on my arms a couple of days ago and the redness has gone down almost instantly! The cream is quite thick but unlike other barrier creams, this doesn't remain in any cuts or wounds which is great.

I was very happy with the results the texture wasn't runny at all like some creams this was very easy to apply and kept my daughter rash and soreness free. I was pleasantly surprised and have been converted and I will be purchasing this product in the future.

  Rated 5 out of 5 by charliechin from A lovely cream for my son's bottom Nappy rash can creep up any time even with an almost three year old boy. Since using this cream, my son hasn't had a problem with nappy rash. Hopefully he will be potty trained soon but for now he is still susceptible to nappy rash. I would recommend this cream to anyone with little ones that wear nappies.

It doesn't last as long as other brands but helped sooth nappy rash in a similar fashion to another nappy cream I use. The tube will last a long time as not much was needed.

  Rated 5 out of 5 by smudge118 from leaves skin so smooth I used the Aveeno Baby Daily Care Barrier Cream for my baby niece who I regularly look after as my sister is always forgetting to put things in her baby bag. I had no other baby cream at the time as it was one of my sisters forgetful weeks. I have to admit that I found it to be better than the brand my sister usually uses, my niece had a touch of nappy rash at the time, I used this on the first day I was looking after her. My sister phoned me later on after picking her up and asked what I had done to her rash because she had realised she forgot the cream, I told her that I had received a tube of Aveeno Baby Daily Care Barrier Cream from BzzAgent and I had used that. She was very happy with it, the rash was looking better and her bottom was really smooth, she went shopping the next day and purchased 3 tubes, 1 to leave at my house for her forgetful weeks and the other 2 to have at home.

  Rated 5 out of 5 by Angeyp from Aveeno Barrier Cream My little 6 month old little girl had a very red and sore nappy area one day last week, after placing some of the aveeno barrier cream on it completely cleared it all up making her much less whingey! It does not have a scent like other brands so it is perfect for me as I am very fussy about smelly baby creams. I even rubbed some on my dry hands whilst popping it on baby and they are so soft. Would like to hughly reccommend aveeno to all new mummies as it is perfect for delicate bums.

I have a 4 month old who is starting to teethe and her nappies have not been great to say the least! Before I started using it she did have a few signs of redness and I can honestly say over the time o have been using it there has been no further redness. The consistency of the cream is good and I also like that it is not fragranced. I believe it is a product that I will continue to use with both my children over others as so far there have been no ill effects and my baby's skin is lovely and soft. The tube compared to some others is also brilliant, no mess and no fuss. Only good things to say abput this one.

Firstly I think Aveeno is gentle and suitable for all skin types, making it perfect to use anywhere on anyone. But I am sceptical of using new products on my babies, especially on my 18 month old who has very sensitive skin. Thankfully, there was no issues when using the barrier cream on my 4 month old, and 18 month old. However I did find it to be a bit too light for everyday use. Both my kids drink a lot of milk at night so have very very full nappies don't when they wake up. So i don't know if I just prefer using thicker creams like sudocrem and bepanthen, but I think the cream could have been more heavier so I knew that it was covering and protecting. Otherwise it's a good product for those that don't have to worry about heavy nappies in the morning!

I have tried the no nappy approach but there are days when your are busy and dont have much time at all. I have tried many other branded products but nothing has really helped until I tried Aveeno baby daily care barrier cream. Its a great product and helped clear the rash while protecting the skin forming a barrier between the skin and the nappy. My son has eczema and his skin can be very sensitive to products that I use. There has been no irritation to the skin and has cleared the rash and so far has kept the rash away and protected the skin. I highly recommend Aveeno daily care barrier cream and will be the only product that I will use from now on.

After a bout of sickness left his bottom in a very sore state this cream had been the only thing to help. It had no odor, soda smoothly and gently without dragging the skin and protects. A firm favourite and a definite item in or cabinet now.

  Rated 5 out of 5 by XeralcX from Amazing Aveeno I expected good things from this product, as I have used Aveeno products before, and I wasn't disappointed! The cream was unscented, which I really liked, and I also liked the fact it contains Oatmeal, as I know this is a great ingredient when it comes to eczema etc. so I felt happy, knowing I was using the best ingredients on my baby. The Aveeno cream was easy to apply. Some other nappy rash creams are super thick and take ages to rub into the skin, but this disappeared quickly and easily - great when you only have one hand free! There was also no sticky residue left on the skin, which some other creams can leave behind. Luckily, my baby hasn't suffered much with nappy rash, but I have applied it to my baby's legs and face at the first little sign of redness from where the baby has been wriggling and rolling in her cot etc, and I could notice an improvement quite quickly. I've also been rubbing any excess left over onto my own skin - hands and elbows etc - and I have seen really good results. Overall this is a great, versatile product and I would definitely buy it again in the future.

The first thing I liked about the Aveeno® Baby Daily Care Barrier Cream is the information on the packaging that calls it part of the 'Active Naturals' range. It follows this by stating on the front that soothes and protects with colloidal oatmeal and zinc oxide... My first thought = 'colloidal' - what's that?! I found my answer online "A colloid, in chemistry, is a mixture in which one substance of microscopically dispersed insoluble particles is suspended throughout another substance (Wikipedia)", so I figured it basically meant tiny particles, rather than the coarse oatmeal type mixes you get in some women's face products! I also looked up zinc oxide, as although I know zinc is often included in skin care products, I didn't really know why - turns out it's because it has antibacterial properties. My daughter only uses nappies at bed time now, but usually wets during the night, resulting quite regularly in a red, spotty bottom. I used this cream on her, applying it to clean skin at night time before putting her bed time nappy on. Within a few days I did notice that there was less redness, so I'm happy that the cream was doing its job. I've continued to use it since, and she doesn't really have any redness any more, although she does still have a few spots, though I wouldn't class these as 'nappy rash', they're not sore looking like the raw nappy rash she had as a baby. Over all I'm really pleased with this cream and will continue to use it. I like the fact that it seems more natural than the medicinal looking pot I'd used in the past. I also like how it applies a little more cream like, I prefer the texture to previous barrier creams I have used, and squeezing from a tube is also nicer than scooping product up with your fingers in my opinion! A little goes a long way, which I feel helps to justify the price, however that is my only criticism of the product, as I do feel it is perhaps a little more expensive than I'd like to pay, but given its effectiveness and ease of application, as well as selling itself on its more natural properties, it's a product I will make use of until my daughter no longer needs it.

  Rated 5 out of 5 by Blondilox from smooth and gentle I was excited to try Aveeno barrier cream as I have used Aveeno products before and been of a 50/50 opinion. When the product arrived I liked the size of the tube, very handy to slip in your/nappy bag. I also liked the fact it was a squeeze tube rather than a tub to reduce the transport of bacteria on hands. The cream was of a smooth consistancy (not runny and not too thick) and applied easily to the nappy area. My daugther was slightly red on one occasion and so I applied the cream. By the next nappy change a couple hours later the redness has vanished and the area looked alot calmer. I liked how the scent is very weak and is only from the ingredients, plus the fact there is only 5 ingredients, not a mix of chemicals. Overall I would certainly buy the Aveeno barrier cream again and continue to use. I was happy and so was little one.

  Rated 5 out of 5 by Elatham from Taking Some of the Guilt out of Gluten We don't actually have a baby in nappies any more but a very grown up 3 yr old. Sadly though she has a very high sensitivity to gluten. Whilst we manage her diet very carefully, occasionally gluten sneaks in; the culprit this time was 3 pieces of pick and mix . Instantly her poor tummy was cramping and our cute little princess was soon telling us she 'had a funny bottom'. Her infrequent episodes can last up to two weeks with many baths and changes of clothes which makes us feel so guilty as parents that we can't do more for her. We decided to try the Aveeno Daily Care Barrier Cream, however had to change the name to 'Magic Bottom Cream' :0) This unscented barrier cream was easier to apply than Sudocrem due to it's smooth consistency, and it didn't absorb into the skin but created a protected barrier on her bottom with limited cream coming off onto her clothes. Our 3yr old didn't mention the cream on her which is a very big compliment as she usually mentions labels and sometimes the stitching on clothing. As parents Aveeno Daily Care Barrier Cream gave us extra peace of mind and literally took the sting out of her 'funny bottom'. Thank you Aveeno for a great product which has taken some of the guilt out of a dreaded gluten attack...shh just don't tell her it's for babies!

  Rated 5 out of 5 by bunnyelze from Happy baby Aveeno baby care barrier cream is a great product and well worth trying. It was soothing on my babies skin who suffers from bad eczema. It was a great consistency and came out of the tube really easily which was great when you're having a struggle when trying to change nappies. I saw a massive improvement in the condition of my babies skin and the redness definitely went down after only a week of applying and stayed away when continously used. I great product that definitely should be tried especially if your child is prone to nappy rash or irritable skin.

Its lovely and modern while simple design on the box and the product are great and I was really looking forward to using this. Reading the product Im a bit cautious as I have no idea what zinc oxide is, is it natural? I love the fact its a daily cream as I like the thought of protecting and not getting to the point of my Little one having a bright red sore bum. The cream seems lovely and thick and with no scent thats a huge thumbs up in my book. Using it on my Little ones bum seems easy and when changing him it seems easy enough to wipe off which with some other creams Ive struggled with in the past. His bum seems to like it as well, with no irritation and during a particular bad tummy time, it helped protect his bum well.

It comes well packaged, in an easy to use bottle, and I have had no problems with opening it. The barrier cream within is easy to apply and it has done wonders for my daughter's bottom. We have had no redness for weeks now and best of all she hasn't had any sores in the creases of her chubby thighs either - this has been fantastic and is a real change for our little girl. Overall I'm really pleased with the quality of this cream, it works well, is easy to apply and we have not had any redness or reactions to using this either. All in all a fantastic barrier cream!

I would normally use a well branded cream upto 4 times a day to stop or sooth nappie rash but since using this I have found that I can use it just before bed and that is all as the nappie rash has yet to come back and I now have one happy little boy again.

The coverage is thick so it wont wash off after the first wee. My little one is in knickers now but has pull ups on overnight, and i cream her up then. She has not been sore at all since using it, so my review can only be good. I like it

  Rated 4 out of 5 by waller from Great as a preventative cream When I received my Aveeno Baby Daily Barrier Cream I was really thankful as my daughter had a bit of nappy rash which hadn't budged using an alternative baby cream. I gave it a go and loved the consistency - really light and not at all sticky. Within a couple of days it had cleared up the rash which was good, but I don't think it had worked any quicker than other nappy creams I have used in the past. However, it was once my daughter's rash had cleared that I was more impressed with this cream. I continued to apply it at each change as I liked the light consistency and it seemed to form a smooth barrier over the skin. When it was used consistently I found that there were no instances of nappy rash at all, which is amazing considering how easily irritated my daughter's skin can be! To summarise, although I feel that this cream is on a par with others at reducing existing nappy rash, when it comes to preventing irritation it is top notch. Brilliant!

I used this when my child had a bit of nappy rash and by the end of the day (about 5 hours later) it had almost gone! I also used it on my sunburnt arms and found it helped to reduce the redness! I would recommend.

It can be done one handed and it enables you to squeeze out the right amount of cream without getting messy. The 100ml size is easy to handle and is enough to keep us going for a while. Perfect for use at home although too big for carrying around everywhere. We've been using this at each nappy change for two weeks now. It's a good thick consistency (although I had a couple of applications that went a bit runny a few days in but that stopped again). My daughter did have a very mild case of nappy rash but it cleared again within a day or two with continued use of this cream. Her skin generally looks less pink and healthier when using this. Would definitely consider using it again.

It's not heavyweight like some of the others and comes in a convenient tube so it's easy just to chuck in your changing bag. It has prevented my teething baby from getting nappy rash and I'll definitely be getting this again in the future

Aveeno daily barrier cream is so much thinner consistency which is great as my 20 month old is potty training so doesn't like to be covered in thick cream. Having already used the baby body wash (brought from USA) I couldn't wait for the baby products to arrive in the UK. The packaging is similar to the normal Aveeno although with pale blue which looks perfect for a baby product. The cream is unscented which I really like and is nice and thick so doesn't run everywhere. My daughter often gets a red bottom especially when it's hot and this sorted it right out! Another great product from Aveeno.

When rubbing in the cream, you can see it forming a barrier straight away,so that should be better for baby . My 2 year old Grandson is at that out of nappy /nappy at night stage so have been using it on him at night....no nappy rash....and he seems more comfortable with using the cream. Would recommend highly

Nicer to use than another leading brand intend of the cream sticks to the baby's bum but is easy to wipe/ wash off your own hands. You have to squeeze the tube a fair bit to get it out once you are about half way so perhaps packaging would be my only very small gripe. That and the cost of the product on the shelves is a little higher than I would pay for a cream that's going to be smeared on my baby's bum, however as I mentioned you can tell that it's a good quality product so i guess you get what you pay for. Maybe I'll buy it on special offer!
