How to Use

Since using this product my little boys skin has cleared up amazingly. I no longer use anything else to wash him and have now added the baby moisturiser in this range to Iestyn's daily bathing routine. I have since told many people about this product range and my mum who has very sensitive skin is now a convert! The lack of fragrance would be its only disadvantage in my eyes.   Rated 5 out of 5 by scarlets27 from Aveeno what a relief As a parent of a toddler prone to rashes and itchy skin I'm always on the look out for a wash that will help relief and sooth my little ones skin . On the rare occasion that we had some sunshine during the holidays my little girl developed quite bad heat rash giving me the ideal opportunity to try out Aveeno body wash . I was quite pleased to read that it used natural ingredients and the packaging also gave that impression using natural colours with no gimmicks. There was a very suttle smell to it not to overpowering again giving that natural feel . When I went to bath my daughter I did put some wash in the water but it didn't dissolve , showing it is just a wash not a bath . On applying the wash to her skin I found it had a smooth and creamy texture which was really easy to use , also a little wash went a long way which is good on the pocket too. After drying her I could start to see a slight difference immediately , I found the redness was starting to fade and was less raised to touch. Her skin also had a slight glow to it and a just moisturised feel. The final test for me was the following morning when I found her skin almost back to normal and it was still smooth as if just moisturised . Her skin didn't feel oily or have an after smell as some products do . I would recommend Aveeno emollient wash to any parent who is prone to skin conditions as a natural product to help sooth their skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

  Rated 4 out of 5 by Marchew from Love the product My children's skin gets worst during winter time so the real test for Aveeno Baby Smoothing Relief Baby Emollient Wash is still in front of us. The consistency is quite thick and it looks like a wash cream. I though as something that thick won't be able to get foam. But when you mix the wash with water it gets really nice and foamy. The skin gets very soft after bath. My son was very happy to use the product. I was very happy that the wash is unscented. If you have delicate skin you don't need the extra ingredient in it. I have also used the wash for myself. So from my own experience I can tell that the skin not only looks soft but also gets moisturized. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We have used it a few times now in the bath but I found myself reaching for our old bath products because I didn't like the fact it's unscented. I like the smell of bath products especially on children, as I believe it's soothing for them too before bed. Also my sons skin is slightly sensitive in terms of it being a bit dry on occasion, but he doesn't have really bad sensitivity so this product would probably be a lifesaver for children with bad excema that need relief from itching and soreness. So in summery, this product isn't suited to us but I can see how it would be a great help for those that could really benefit from it's properties. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

  Rated 4 out of 5 by WeeMinx79 from Aveeno Emollient Wash I used this for my baby in place of his bubble bath and baby oil which are my regular go to products to care for his skin. Initially the emollient foamed up reasonably well in the strong flow of the water coming from the taps, not as much as my usual product but there were bubbles none the less. It's important that we have bubbles as my little man likes to play with them and we hide his bath toys to play peekaboo! Disappointingly the bubbles were short lived, they soon began to die and disappear. Before long we just had a bath with water and no bubbles. As this is a product designed for sensitive skin though I figured it was just due to this and perhaps the ingredients to make foam could be irritants. I tried putting more emollient in the bath next time we used it but it didn't make much difference. Cleansing wise, it definitely did it's job. My little man after his breakfast is often covered head to toe as he is discovering his independence and feeding himself. This often turns into a breakfast fruit massacre! Moisturising wise, it definitely wasn't as good as baby oil. My little man's skin although it felt soft and clean after his bath. On a side by side comparison to baby oil, there wasn't any contest really. Baby oil wins hands down. My son doesn't have any skin complaints so I wouldn't be able to draw any opinions as to whether this product helps with those. I am actually going to pass on the remainder of the bottle to a friend this afternoon who's little boy has eczema so I shall see what she thinks. All in all, an ok product but not for us as bubbles are important and baby oil gives better moisturisation. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

On first impressions, the packaging is very presentable. It looks like a very decent product for the word go. I then opened up the bottle to give it a smell. Wow , such a light but nice fragrance to it. Not too strong but very fresh smelling. I ran a bath for my daughter and started to use it on her. I couldn't believe how soft it made her skin feel , the whole time I used it she was smiling. So that is a big thumbs up from little one! I felt her skin was less dry. A lovely silky texture on the skin and applies really well, and lathers well. I personally was not sure of the lack of smell, but overall the product was good. My two daughters always seem to breakout with bouts of Eczema whenever we try a new product in the bath or shower, so much so that i pretty much stick to the same product. I was a little bit nervous about trying this Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Baby Emollient Wash but i am relieved to say it is amazing, there have been no breakouts and it has kept my daughters skin soft and smooth. We have tried it in the bath and also while just having a quick shower and it cleans very well in both scenarios. It is unscented so doesn't leave skin with an overpowering smell but still leaves skin with a nice clean washed smell. I really like that it foams a little bit which means a little bit on a sponge goes very far when lathering. A very gentle wash and clean and i will now be buying and recommending.
